I can eat a rainbow!

Nutrition refers to what your child eats and drinks. Their body use nutrients from food in order to function within optimal parameters. Nutrients include carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals. In the necessary quantities, nutrients ensure your child has the energy necessary to be active, to learn and to grow.

Calories are the quantity of energy stored in what your child consumes. Children need a certain amount of calories in order to grow and develop. Any surplus in calories is stored in the child’s body in the form of fat.

Why is a balanced nutrition important?

Inadequate nutrition can lead to health issues. By educating your child in what a balanced diet means, these problems can be prevented. Also, children who weigh within their age bracket are more predisposed to maintaining this healthy habit all throughout their life.

Benefits of balanced nutrition

• Proportioned weight and height
• Ability to focus
• Strong bones and muscles
• A good level of energy
• A strong immune system
• Shorter recovery time

At Kids Kingdom the menu is designed by a nutritionist and changed every week.

Every child enjoys the same meals and snacks and we transform everything into a game: “I can eat a rainbow!” – the more colorful a plate is, the more points the child receives: red for meat, green for veggies, orange/blue/indigo for fruits, yellow for carbohydrates, etc.

If your child has a special set of needs (allergies, intolerances), then the menu will be adapted according to their needs without skipping on the nutritional and taste values.
